Global Talent Stream opens for Quebec!

September 11, 2017

The Quebec Immigration Minister has announced today that the Global Talent Stream is now open for companies in Québec. The Global Talent Stream is a streamlined process for employers to hire skilled workers with specialized skills in high-demand occupations.

The Global Talent Stream was previously launched on June 12th, 2017 for the rest of the Canada and was opened today for the province of Québec.

A company hiring through the Global Talent Stream will benefit from faster application processing times and flexible recruiting requirements.

For example, Immigration Canada has announced that an employer in Quebec approved to hire a foreign worker through the Global Talent Stream may receive a fast processing time of 2 weeks for this application.

Furthermore, for occupations listed under NOC 0 or A,  a work permit will no longer be required for short-term work projects of 15 days (every six months) or 30 days (annually).
