Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship Program issuing new invitations

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada began inviting potential sponsors through its Parents and Grandparents Program by email this week.

You can use the following two methods to find out if you are one of the selected potential sponsors:

- Using your confirmation number: click on "Look up your number". Your confirmation number has 10 characters and includes numbers and letters in this order: ##AZ###-## (two numbers, two letters, three number and a hyphen, two numbers).

- If you lost or forgot your confirmation number: you can complete this form to check your invitation status. IRCC will respond within 10 business days.

Furthermore, IRCC aims to receive 10,000 complete applications in 2018. If IRCC does not receive all applications within 60 days, there will be another round of invitations at a later time this year.

Lastly, anyone who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2018 and did noy receive an invitation to apply should still follow IRCC's future announcements in the Parental and Grand-parental Sponsorship Program in case there are additional rounds of selections.
