Latest Express Entry draw increases to 449 CRS points
Express Entry's latest draw (June 28th, 2017) results are out and a total number of 3,409 candidates were issued invitations to apply for Permanent Residency.
Candidates who were already in the Express Entry pool and had comprehensive ranking system (CRS) scores of 449 or higher were invited to apply for permanent residency.
Surprisingly, this CRS score of 449 is much higher than the previous draw of 413, which happened on May 31st, 2017.
There could be two explanations to this:
1. With the new improvements in the Express Entry program, candidates who have relatives in Canada as well as french language speaking skills were now able to update their profile and subsequently have their CRS scores increased.
2. There was a longer gap between the current and previous draw. Four weeks separated the last two draws, which means that a higher number of new applicants were able to apply during this time.
Nonetheless, the total number of applicants selected this draw (3,409) remains similar to previous draws.
