Nova Scotia PNP: Labour Market Priorities
Nova Scotia is becoming an increasingly popular destination for potential immigrants as the province has been nominating qualified candidates through Express Entry. The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream selects candidates who can prove they meet the province's labour needs.
Who can apply?
Any candidate who has a valid Express Entry profile and receives a letter of interests from the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream. Candidates are selected based on the province's own selection criteria.
What is the selection criteria?
The selection criteria for the last draw (March 20th, 2019) was the following:
Candidates who selected French as their first official language in their Express Entry application (Minimum CLB 7).
Candidates who also speak English as a second language (Minimum CLB 5).
Candidates that have completed a 3 year program or a Bachelor's degree.
How to apply?
You must receive a letter of interest in your IRCC Express Entry application indicating that Nova Scotia is inviting you to apply under the NSNP (Nova Scotia Nomination Program).
If your application is deemed incomplete or missing supporting documentation, it will be refused.
The letters of interest are only valid for 30 days, so make sure to check your profile often!
How does the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities Stream help?
Once you have submitted your application to the Nova Scotia Nominee Program and it has been accepted by the province, you will receive an additional 600 CRS points to your Express Entry application. Having an additional 600 points will almost certainly guarantee you to be invited to apply for permanent residency at the next eligible Express Entry draw.
How much does it cost to apply?
There are no provincial application fees under the Nova Scotia Nominee Program.
